Courses — Beginners Wheel-Throwing at Mudlark Pottery Studio
Six consecutive weekly sessions
Maximum 12 people per course, so everyone gets real attention at the wheel. You'll work through a structured progression with the same group each week, building skills and confidence from scratch.

Clay, throwing tools, glazes, kiln firing — it's all in the course price. Nothing to buy beforehand, nothing to guess about. Turn up with your hands and we'll do the rest.
What you'll learn
Week one: centring clay on the wheel and feeling the basics. Weeks two and three: throwing simple bowls and cylinders. Week four: trimming the foot and adding handles. Week five: glazing your pieces. Week six: collect your finished, fired work.
For total beginners
This course is tuition-focused: you'll learn from the ground up with support at every step. If you already throw or handbuild, Studio Membership gives you open access to the studio and your own shelf space instead.
